Tēnā koe, thanks for visiting my site. I guess you are here to check out just who this @elpie person is so I will tell you a little about myself.

Ko Te Roroa te iwi
Ko Taoho te tangata
Ko Matatina te marae
Ko Lynne Pope ahau.
I am Lynne Pope, also known as Elpie (which is why my site is called "a.k.a Elpie"), a New Zealand-based programmer turned web designer turned … well, that's a tough one… getting involved in open source software development almost a decade ago has kinda turned me into a Jill of All Trades! Did I mention open source? That's my great passion.
That's me, in the pix. The one you see on Twitter is my alter-ego (I'm a bit shy, which makes presentations and public speaking somewhat challenging - but I love challenges!)
Welcome to a.k.a Elpie
I write tutorials for Mambo, WordPress and whatever other app I happen to be working with at any given time. I also blog about open source tools, SEO, web site design and development, and share a few tips along the way. Once in awhile I even get around to releasing some code to download. In my free time (ha!) I can be found working various open source projects.
Read more about me and what this site is about. I've had a few mentions in the news media if you are interested.
