Local city councillor Kelvin Speirs has announced his intention to resign from Palmerston North City Council. This means there will be a vacancy and the city is holding a by-election. I have decided to stand for election and have launched a new web site at http://lynnepope.info to allow residents to get to know me better. This web site will contain my policies and information about my campaign.

I won the election yesterday by a huge margin. I will be keeping my campaign web site up as a means of communicating with my constituents.
