Elpie Named Mambo MVP

I have been selected as an MVP for my work with Mambo in Packt Publishing's 2008 Open Source CMS Most Valued People awards.

…many different people are key to the success of a CMS…
- Packt Publishing

Packt Publishing ran this new award category as part of their annual Open Source Awards, which are nominated and voted on by open source users and communities. I had no idea that I had been nominated so it was a great surprise to receive an email today from Packt to say that I had been selected.

Mambo only exists due to the efforts of a very large number of people over the past 8 years. I feel honoured to have been nominated and am humbled to have been selected. As the only woman in that list of august MVP's, I hope my selection will encourage other women to contribute to open source software development.

Thank you to all those who nominated and voted for me.
