I received this e-mail from the Secretary of the Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band.

I’m delighted to share that the Band realised its dream of a top ten placing at the World Pipe Band Championships,Glasgow Green on Saturday by being placed tenth.
In Pipe Band terms this is a significant improvement on their very creditable 13th placing in 2003.
I’m very conscious that as the only Grade One New Zealand representative at the Worlds, our City and Region can regard this achievement with considerable pride. Something we can all share.Secretary,Manawatu Scottish Society Pipe Band
